Transparency and accountability is the recipe for good governance and information is the key to this end. Every citizen enjoys the right to seek information of public importance from public institutions, and utilise it for public good. However, awareness about how to seek this information and use it is lacking at larger level. Right to Information (RTI) law is the tool that enables citizens to ask government departments for providing the required information.
With the resolve of contributing our share to strengthen democracy and good governance in the country, our ‘Right to Information’ program equips the citizens, particularly bloggers, journalists, students and activists to effectively use these laws for seeking information of public importance from the government bodies and enhance the role of watchdog on the governance.
We welcome people from all walks of life to attend our sessions on RTI. Please register using the following form and we will contact you to attend for the next available slot.
*Please note that the trainings are free of cost, however, no TA/DA will be admissible.
